Why You Have Bad Habits

Why You Have Bad Habits

Have you ever wondered why you have bad habits?

Bad habits are created from our wounding, trauma and conditioning. Yet what are these bad habits actually stopping us from doing? What are they stopping us from achieving? How are they stopping us from making our mark on the world?

Our habits are learned patterns of behaviour we have implemented to stop us from feeling the myriad of emotions that make us feel inadequate, uncomfortable, unloveable, uncontrollable, irresponsible, abandoned and rejected.

They are the voices in our head. They have been created to fill the hole inside us.

Yet the hole is an illusion. It is an illusion that just gets bigger and bigger and bigger until we have no idea what the original need was we were trying to fill.

So our habits rule the roost. They keep us disembodied. They keep us disassociated.

Yet our habits are hiding us from a gateway to our true potential. They keep us running and hiding from ourselves.

Our habits are there as an escape route from self. Manufactured to stop us from being in our bodies. Therefore if we want to reach our highest potential, then we have to start looking at what is standing in our way, and our habits are a good place to start.

What habits do you have right now? When does the need arise to feed the habit? What emotion triggers the habit?

Look carefully now, as our habits can be tricky. They can trick us into the habit just for looking, as we fall into the avoidance of wanting to look.

Yet we will have to look if we want to reach our highest potential. We will have to explore if we want to fully live our life of adventure, of abundance, and of freedom.

The more we step into looking at how our inner world has been constructed, the more we can break down the walls. And with each brick we remove, we take a step closer to reaching our highest potential.

If you’re reading this, then you are curious about your highest potential. You know you are so much more than what you have been conditioned to be.

If this is the case, what are you waiting for? What habit are you falling into to stop you from even making the decision to explore your habits?

With Love,

Nicola
